Looking to make a difference in a child's life? Learning Atrium Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is actively seeking a finance manager to help us manage our growth. We provide reading intervention to students (K-12). Our approach is affirming and considers the unique giftedness of each child we work with from a strengths-based perspective.
We want employees who wants to give back to the community and help us grow our organization so no child who struggles with reading falls through the cracks.
Experience/Qualifications: • Process payroll, reconciliations, credit cards, payables, receivables, and reimbursements • Ensure proper tie out of fundraising database and QuickBooks monthly • File annual reports with various government agencies like 990's • Assist exec. director with budget, cost and salary analysis • Work with Sales and Development: Invoicing, collecting money, managing payment plans, grant & event budgets • Provide clean board reports, financials, and projections • Help with procedures to ensure all audits are passed • Assist with budgets for grants and reporting as needed Insurance point of contact to ensure proper coverage, asset tracking & inventory analysis • Bequest, in-kind, & stock gift processing w/ donor some contact • Establish reserve and employee bonus account with bank • Assist with e-commerce payments, and other duties as assigned • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required • Experience w/ QuickBooks, nonprofit accounting, asset valuation, depreciation preferred • A passion for education, personal responsibility and helping kids reach their potential
Hours: 7-12 hours/week Must pass a background check and complete Virtus training upon hire.
Learning Atrium is a year-round provider that offers Structured Literacy (Orton-Gillingham) guidance to dyslexic students in local Catholic Schools and homeschool community. Our mission is to recognize the brilliance inherent within every child, empowering them to express their unique genius. We provide tutoring and related services in reading and spelling to students who match the profile of dyslexia and other learning differences. We provide the tools these students need to excel so they can focus on their gifts and all their academics and areas of interest.
