Veranova Health is seeking a Practice Manager to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient experience as we grow.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership • Manage daily front office, scheduling, billing, and administrative operations. • Oversee and optimize the use of athenahealth to ensure smooth patient data flow and efficient revenue cycle management. • Coordinate with external vendors (IT, labs, insurance payers, translation providers, etc.). Staff Supervision & Development • Recruit, train, and supervise administrative and clinical support staff, under direction of Medical Officer and Board of Directors. • Coordinate training in HIPAA, OSHA, emergency procedures, performance evaluations, provider onboarding and licensure documentation (DEA, OBN, NPI, etc.). Financial & Billing Oversight • Track revenue cycles and collections through athenahealth. • Monitor patient balances, denials, and insurance credentialing processes. • Generate monthly operational and financial reports for leadership review. Compliance & Quality Assurance • Maintain HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and other state/federal compliance documentation. • Ensure policies and compliance meet requirements of the Ohio Revised and Administrative Codes for mid-level provider collaboration (APRN, PA etc.). • Support credentialing and recredentialing processes for all providers. Strategic Growth & Projects • Support implementation of new service lines. • Help manage digital infrastructure (Microsoft 365, RingCentral, OneDrive/SharePoint). • Contribute to the development of patient education, outreach and referral initiatives.
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (Master's preferred). • Minimum 3-5 years of healthcare management experience, ideally in OB/GYN or multi-specialty. • Strong knowledge of medical billing, EMR systems, and HIPAA compliance. • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Experience with athenahealth and Microsoft 365 preferred.
