Opening for Full Time Religion Teacher for the 2025-2026 School Year
St. Edmund Preparatory High School a Catholic co-ed, IB World, college preparatory school located in Brooklyn, NY is currently seeking a religion teacher for the 2025-2026 school year to begin in September.
Our mission is to instill the Gospel values in our students so as to empower them to become confident and self-disciplined participants in the ever-changing global society. We educate according to the needs of each student and challenge each of them to achieve academic excellence through practical learning experiences.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Provide clear and consistently high-quality religion instruction for students in grades 9-12 • Create instructional lesson plans and activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in a meaningful learning experience that align with Catholic Church Doctrine and the Bishop's Framework • Exhibit exceptional classroom management skills and utilize technology to implement effective lesson • Working collaboratively with other faculty to foster an environment of bold learning • Create a positive classroom environment that is engaging and fosters student growth • Display a commitment to diversity and create a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging in approach to teaching and learning
Education and Experience • Bachelor's degree in related field
