Holy Spirit School, a PreK-Grade 8 Catholic school in Pequannock, New Jersey, is seeking qualified and enthusiastic Part-Time Teachers in the following areas for the 2026-2027 school year: Reading Mathematics Spanish

Essential Functions Catholic Identity and Mission Support and uphold the mission, philosophy, and values of Holy Spirit School and Catholic education. Foster a classroom environment rooted in respect, compassion, and Christian values. Participate in school prayer services, liturgies, and faith-based activities as appropriate.
Instruction and Student Learning Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Diocese of Paterson curriculum standards and New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Utilize effective instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners. Differentiate instruction to support students at varying levels of academic achievement. Create a positive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success. Integrate technology and educational resources to enhance instruction. Assessment and Progress Monitoring Assess student learning through formal and informal measures. Use student performance data to guide instructional decisions and interventions. Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement. Communicate student performance and concerns with parents and school administration as needed.
Collaboration and Professional Responsibilities Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, support staff, and administration to ensure student success. Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all school-related matters. Support school-wide initiatives and programs. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of content and instructional best practices in the assigned subject area. Ability to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of individual learners. Effective classroom management and organizational skills. Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and parents. Qualifications
Reading Teacher Background in Elementary Education, Reading, Literacy, or a related field. Experience providing reading intervention and literacy instruction preferred.
Mathematics Teacher Background in Elementary Education, Mathematics, or a related field. Experience teaching mathematics and utilizing data-driven instructional practices preferred.
Spanish Teacher Background in Spanish, World Languages, Education, or a related field. Fluency in Spanish and experience teaching elementary or middle school students preferred. Education Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Education or a related field. New Jersey State Teaching Certification preferred or eligibility for certification. Practicing Catholics preferred. Compensation Compensation is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and assigned responsibilities.
