We seek a passionate and experienced 5th-grade teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The 5th Grade Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and academically rigorous classroom environment that supports students' spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth. The teacher plans and delivers instruction aligned with curriculum standards, fosters a love of learning, and partners with families to promote student success. The teacher will design lessons, assess student progress, and promote a love for literature and effective communication.
Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards. Facilitate engaging classroom activities that promote Literacy, Math skills, Science, Social Studies, Religion, and overall academic development. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment. Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities. Maintain an organized classroom that promotes a safe, conducive learning environment. Collaborate with other educators to enhance instructional strategies and share best practices. Assess student performance through various methods and provide feedback to support their educational journey.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, teaching certification. Experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in 5th grade or similar age groups. Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and behavior management. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues. Familiarity with early childhood education principles and childhood development theories. Experience in tutoring or providing additional academic support is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
