Position Title: Staff Assistant Position Status: Contracted (Monday: 10am-4pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9am- 4pm) Compensation: $20 per hour for 30 hours a week ($2600 per month) Direct Report: Associate Director of the Online Campus
POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Assistant to the Director of School Operations, the Staff Assistant will complete tasks assigned to support the overall operation of the Encounter School of Ministry including events.
Key Responsibilities Encounter School of Ministry Creating and distributing student name badges Prepare ESM Main Campus Student Binders Assisting with Support Tickets as necessary ESM Main Campus Weekly Technology Set-up and Maintenance ESM Online Campus Practicum Preparation Online Campus Dashboard Maintenance Assist with ESMO Resource Organization ESMO Administrative Needs ESM Main Campus Material Preparation Printing of Student Handouts Importing Slides into ProPresenter Ensuring All Class Media is Ready for Use Encounter Ministries Assist with setup, hospitality, and logistics for local events (Healing Services, Transformation Nights, etc.) Support major conferences and large events as needed Help process event offerings and manage merchandise inventory Maintain organization of event supplies and office areas Provide general office and administrative support, including ensuring the staff kitchen is clean and stocked This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Additional duties, expectations, and responsibilities may be added or changed as needed to meet the needs of Encounter Ministries
Additional Notes: Flexibility is essential. During peak ministry seasons (such as conference preparation or school admissions), the Events Staff Assistant may be asked to assist with ticketing, registration, and additional administrative duties as part of the ministry's all-hands approach. Qualifications & Requirements Active, practicing Catholic in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail Enjoys hands-on, service-oriented work in a mission-driven environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Comfortable using and learning technology platforms (ProPresenter, Canvas, Google Workspace, etc.) Flexible and collaborative, with a willingness to adjust hours during special events or busy seasons Agrees that this is an at-will position, subject to review and revision to meet the ministry's evolving needs
