JOB TITLE: Youth Evangelist HOURS: 40 hours per week This is full-time, benefit-eligible position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, organize, and implement Faith Formation for Grades K-8 Supervise catechists for Ascension Press's First Reconciliation and -First Communion classes Run OCIA programs for children and teens Develop and implement Kindergarten program Run EDGE Middle School program, including Confirmation prep for grades 7-8 Orchestrate Faith Formation registration for all participants Work alongside All Saints High School Youth Minister to recruit, train, and support teen CORE team Recruit, train, and support volunteer catechists and assist them in their own spiritual growth Oversee and ensure complete record keeping of family and student information for all grades using ParishSoft and Flocknote Communicate with families through Flocknote as necessary, including important program and event reminders and updates Submit bulletin announcements, website content, and Mass announcements for Faith Formation program routinely and as necessary Handle the administration of child safety procedures in accordance with state and archdiocesan requirements, including CORI forms and Protecting God's Children/Virtus training for adults and safe environment lessons for children and families Maintain a clear and consistent channel of communication with the Pastor, Parochial Vicar, and High School Youth Minister Other duties as assigned by the Pastor
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be fluent in both Spanish and English Must be willing to support the mission and vision of the Roman Catholic Church and a Catholic in good standing, practicing and faithful to the Sacraments. A strong service orientation is critical Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Google Calendar, Parish Soft, and Flocknote Must be well-organized, able to multitask and effectively work in a changing environment Experience handling confidential, sensitive, timely and critical matters using good judgment, tact, respect and discretion required A high level of proficiency communicating effectively through email and/or telephone Excellent oral and written communication skills Conscientious, detail-oriented and capable of working independently
PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE ELEMENTS: Ability to use a computer keyboard for up to 8 hours/day Ability to sit for up to 8 hours/day Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
