Veronica's Veil Outreach Center is located in Our Lady of the Visitation parish in Darnestown, MD. The mission of Veronica's Veil Outreach Center is to provide a space for parishioners and the broader community to enter into the "mess" of life. It is a place for those desiring a deeper relationship with the Lord to come and grow in that relationship. Veronica's Veil Outreach Center provides opportunities for education, healing, service, and community.
As Director of Development & Partner Relations, your duties and responsibilities include: - Create written annual fundraising plans, goals, and strategies for achieving them. - Cultivate relationships with parishioners and friends of the Outreach Center. - Develop and write grant requests to foundations, government agencies, and the Archdiocese of Washington. Manage grants by tracking them, maintaining records, and working with staff to ensure each project or program meets proposal conditions and expectations. - Attend weekly meetings with the Director and monthly meetings with the Pastor. - Assist in volunteer recruitment. - Communication with the Pastor regarding homilies, bulletins, and other promotional materials from the Outreach Center when needed. - Help the Director build the culture of the Outreach Center within the Parish, inspired by a culture of life and giving. - Be intimately involved in the direction of the Outreach Center, and attend board meetings, as able. - You are encouraged to present new ideas for programming both locally and globally. - Work with Pastor on fundraising when needed. - Other duties at the Outreach Center as assigned. - Candidate must be an active Catholic in good standing.
