The youth minister is a passionate leader who brings faith to life for high school youth and middle school Confirmation prep, guiding them in their faith journey and a deeper relationship with Christ. Through dynamic weekly gatherings, meaningful retreats, and impactful service opportunities, this role helps build a vibrant community where young people can grow in faith and connection. Working closely with the Director of Faith Formation, the youth minister plays a key role in advancing the parish's mission by inspiring and forming the next generation.
Key Responsibilities • Plan and lead weekly youth ministry programs for high school students. • Coordinate and oversee the Confirmation program. • Organize retreats, service projects, and special events. • Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders, ensuring safe environment compliance. • Communicate regularly with parents and students. • Manage records, scheduling, budget, and event logistics. • Collaborate with parish staff and participate in meetings and formation opportunities. • Oversee promotion and communication, including social media.
Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of the Catholic faith and ability to engage youth. • Effective communication and organizational skills. • Experience working with teens and leading volunteers is preferred. • Comfortable with public speaking and using digital communication tools.
