Primary Responsibilities: + Coordination of work of parish volunteers in music for various liturgies, including weekend Masses and special liturgies + Coordination of music for funerals and weddings + Director of Celebration Choir + Manage the reprint, livestream and recording license for music + Participation in ongoing education and support, such as the National + Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM).
Possible additional responsibilities: + Active recruitment of new musicians of all ages + Organization of special choirs + Music lessons for aspiring liturgical musicians + Additional liturgical coordination + Accompaniment for special events + Planning of special musical events of an evangelical nature
Qualifications: + Professing, practicing and knowledgeable of the Catholic Faith, or otherwise supportive of Catholic beliefs and practices + Commitment to personal growth in faith formation and living as a moral role model + Experience, background and knowledge of liturgical celebrations & planning required + Degree in music education or music performance or related field + Capability to organize, plan and execute events + Able to practice effective communication with various volunteers + Proficiency with a keyboard instrument and singing + Successful background check through State Police and Department of Children and Family Services + Completion of Diocesan Safe Environment Training in collaboration with the business manager
