Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Brookhaven seeks a Family Faith Formation Coordinator to lead and grow faith formation for families with children. This role is centered on equipping parents as the primary educators of the faith while guiding children toward full sacramental life. The coordinator will oversee Family Faith Formation for children in Pre-K through 5th grade and prepare children and families for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation. This individual will also support the transition from a traditional 10th-grade Confirmation model to a 6th-grade approach and will coordinate OCIA for children (age 7+). Additional responsibilities include planning and executing Vacation Bible School, recruiting and supporting catechists and volunteers, and managing program enrollment, communications, and budget. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic and hold a Master Catechist Certification or an equivalent background in theology or faith formation, with prior parish ministry experience required and experience in family faith formation preferred. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Parish Soft is a plus.
