The St. John Paul II High School Administrative Assistant provides direct support to teachers and students for the day-to-day operation of the school. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant provides support to the school President and Principal related to critical school functions and activities. The person in this position is a primary point of contact for students and their families as well as people and organizations outside the school. The Administrative Assistant maintains the school's front desk and functions as a point of contact and a problem solver. This is an outward-facing position which requires tact, diplomacy, and excellent interpersonal skills with people of all ages.

Primary Duties
1. Complete work according to schedules and timelines 2. Maintain attendance records 3. Receive and respond to phone calls from parents regarding absences 4. Update attendance records 5. Receive and respond to correspondence from parents and students 6. Make daily announcements regarding important events and functions 7. Maintain electronic and print calendars 8. Maintain office supplies 9. Maintain bell system 10. Maintain teachers' walkie talkies 11. Other duties as assigned by the President and Principal
Secondary Duties
1. Coordinate logistics and order services for retreats and field trips 2. Enter master class schedule in the student information system 3. Modify student schedules as approved by the Principal 4. Monitor safe environment documentation and training for staff and teachers 5. Order new and replacement business cards, name tags, and key fobs
Physical Requirements
1. Work is performed while standing, sitting, or walking 2. Requires ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing 3. Requires ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 30 pounds

Required Qualifications
1. High School diploma 2. Practice of the Catholic faith in compliance with the teachings of Scripture, the Magisterium, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church 3. Willingness to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the teachings of the Catholic Church
Desired Qualifications
1. Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree 2. Experience in a school setting
Pay
