Marin Catholic currently has an opening for a full-time Theology Teacher in the 2024-25 school year.
*Position will begin August 2024
The mission of Marin Catholic is to “Lead Students to Jesus Christ.” At the core of our practice is the student-teacher relationship where our educators model Christian virtue and witness to the Roman Catholic faith. In partnership with parents, we form flourishing men and women of virtue through an excellent academic, artistic, athletic, and spiritual education. Inspired by our school’s motto, “Duc In Altum,” we encourage our students to “put out into the deep,” embracing challenges as pathways to growth.
The Theology program at Marin Catholic, in conjunction with Campus Ministry, strives to give each student a sense of compassion, peace, and connectedness to each other and God while exhibiting the gospel values taught to us by Christ. While educating the whole person, we avail our students of the opportunity for prayer, reflection, fellowship and service during retreats, sacramental preparation, all-school liturgies and many other faith programs.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate deep familiarity with the philosophical foundations of the Catholic intellectual tradition and connect them to the intellectual study of theology. This person exemplifies a love for souls and desires to lead students to an encounter with the Living God. He or she is a person of prayer, who believes and utilizes the power of the Sacraments. Demonstration of docility and eagerness to master the arts of evangelism and pedagogy is vital.
