HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE: Support the Human Resources Director and team in executing and managing HR programs and initiatives, including benefits administration, compliance and reporting, policy implementation, onboarding, employee engagement, and efforts that promote a positive workplace aligned with EWTN's values.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: • Collaborate with the Benefit Specialist to support benefit administration, coordinate leaves of absence, and ensure adherence to FMLA and relevant laws. • Support the onboarding process and conducts new employee orientation sessions. • Ensure compliance with employment laws at the federal, state, and local levels; assists with reporting requirements such as EEO-1, ACA, 403(b) audits, OSHA, and Workers' Compensation. • Respond promptly to questions and concerns, contributing to a supportive work environment aligned with EWTN's mission. • Administer and advise on various employee programs, including tuition reimbursement, remote work, salary advances, final pay, exit interviews, and unemployment claims. • Collaborate with leadership and staff to strengthen engagement and retention efforts. • Assist in coordinating the performance review process. • Identify and suggest improvements to enhance HR processes and overall efficiency. • Contribute to HR team initiatives and takes on additional responsibilities as needed.
ABOUT YOU: • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience with solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations. • Proficient in HCM systems (Paylocity preferred) and Microsoft Office, including strong spreadsheet skills. • Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills, with the ability to navigate challenging situations professionally. • Highly organized, motivated, and trustworthy, with a strong sense of confidentiality and integrity. • A collaborative team player who effectively partners with colleagues at all levels of the organization. • Practicing Catholic whose values align with EWTN's mission is preferred. • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field. • SHRM-CP certification preferred.
