Position Overview We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree (BA or BS), possess a strong understanding of early childhood development, and be committed to fostering a joyful, engaging, and faith-filled learning environment. This educator will work to inspire young learners through hands-on experiences, collaboration, developmentally appropriate instruction and bring positive energy to the classroom.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) in Education or a related field Valid New York State Teaching Certification (or eligibility to obtain certification) Knowledge of New York State Learning Standards The ability to with diverse learners and differentiating instruction to meet individual student needs Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to integrating faith and values into daily instruction Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and support staff
Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with New York State Learning Standards Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of young children Utilize hands-on, interactive learning experiences to foster curiosity and a love of learning Differentiate instruction to support the needs of all learners Teach religion and incorporate Catholic values throughout the school day Assess student progress and maintain open communication with families Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success and school initiatives Participate in professional development opportunities and school events
