Location: Dubuque County area (in-person) Reports to: Executive Director Start: March 31, 2026 (target) Status: Salaried, exempt | 90-day probationary period | Compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
Position Summary: The Program & Operations Associate strengthens our daily operations and serves as an understudy for our Summer Internship Project. This is a growth-track role. With demonstrated competency and measurable results, the expectation is that you will become the Internship Coordinator or a prominent leader on the internship team within the next 1-2 years.
We anticipate 10 interns this year. You will help supervise interns and support the full internship cycle while also supporting core administrative and operational functions that keep our mission effective.
~Core Responsibilities~
Internship and Program Support (Primary): -Support internship recruiting, screening, onboarding, scheduling, training support, logistics, and evaluation -Help supervise interns, cultivate accountability, and coach toward excellence -Support implementation of the Tri-State Human Rights Initiative -Track program metrics and deliverables; improve systems for scale and effectiveness.
Outreach and Public Engagement: -Learn the Equipped for Life Course and the Love3 curriculum to a degree where you can put it into practice and teach the content to others -Participate in in-person outreach weekly, often daily (campus, door-to-door, events, sidewalk advocacy, street outreach) -Engage people who disagree with respect, patience, and genuine care Share the truth clearly while maintaining a calm, loving posture
Operations and Administrative Support: -Assist with donor database entry and reporting -Use and maintain internal systems (Google Workspace and/or Microsoft platforms) -Assist event logistics, volunteer coordination, mailings, supply ordering, admin workflows, and day-to-day office tasks -Periodic front desk coverage as needed -Complete duties and tasks assigned by the Executive Director or Board of Directors
~Qualifications~ Required: -Strong alignment with the mission and goals of Dubuque County Right To Life, Inc., and willingness to represent it publicly -A strong team player who is hungry, humble, smart, and ready to apply the organization's values to their efforts -Ability to have respectful conversations with people who strongly disagree -Strong organization, follow-through, and reliability -Comfort using Google or Microsoft platforms -Capability to adjust as projects and plans change
Preferred: -1 - 3 years of experience in pro-life or related/relevant work -Familiarity with i360 database -Prior nonprofit, program, outreach, or leadership experience -Experience supervising interns or volunteers -Speak and gather support for the pro-life mission from family, friends, and church
