We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for a tenure track teaching position in our Science Department. The position's main responsibility involves teaching NYS Regents courses in Physics and Earth Science, including all relevant lab-work. It is strongly desired that the candidate's pedagogy is informed by current science education research and best practices and will utilize student-centered and project-based instructional techniques. Candidates with the ability to teach across the Science Curriculum are strongly encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will have an earned Master's Degree, a valid NYS Teaching Certificate in Physics or Earth Science 7-12 or a related subject, and experience teaching in a high school.
