Beach Catholic is seeking a reliable and mission-driven Parish Receptionist to support the daily operations of our parish office. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, welcoming, personable, and committed to serving the Church while assisting parishioners during important moments in their lives.
Primary Responsibilities: • Coordinate sacramental intake and scheduling, including Baptisms, Weddings, and Funerals • Answer and direct incoming phone calls • Maintain parish records and sacramental documentation in an organized manner • Assist parishioners with general inquiries and office needs • Support clergy and staff with administrative tasks • Scheduling use of parish facilities by parish groups and ministry leaders • Perform other duties typical of a parish office secretary • Supporting staff and volunteers with overflow work related to parish events
Qualifications: • Practicing Catholic in full accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church • Basic knowledge of Catholic sacraments and parish procedures • Strong organizational and communication skills • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and Microsoft Office Suite. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care • Dependable and able to maintain a consistent weekly schedule • Bilingual, English & Spanish, a plus
