Prospective Music Ministers should possess a thorough knowledge of Catholic Liturgy and Worship principles. Applicants must demonstrate a high degree of organ and piano proficiency. Experience in choral conducting and the ability to play all styles of music is required. SJHOM is blessed with a beautiful, inspiring Yamaha C7 grand piano and a four-manual Rodgers Trillium Masterpiece 1038 organ.

Primary Responsibilities • Recruit and audition musicians and cantors. • Direct our outstanding adult choir and accompany children and youth choirs. Weekly adult choir practices are held September through May. • Plan music for weekly liturgies as well as Solemnities and special events such as weddings, funerals and quinceaneras. • Collaborate with the Pastor and other staff members. • Coordinate ordering of hymnals (currently OCP Breaking Bread.) • Attend weekly staff meetings, retreats, and special ministry events.
