    Description

At Chelsea Academy, a Catholic liberal arts school dedicated to forming the whole person-mind, heart, and soul-we are seeking a passionate and faithful educator to join our middle school faculty. This full-time position includes teaching our integrated 6th-grade curriculum along with 7th Grade Grammar and Composition, beginning January 7, 2026, for the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year.
We believe education is a calling: to guide young people toward truth, goodness, and beauty through reason illuminated by faith. If you are a practicing Catholic who loves the humanities and desires to inspire middle school students with the richness of the Catholic intellectual tradition, we invite you to consider this opportunity to make a lasting difference in young lives.

Your Role - Forming Minds and Hearts:
You will teach an integrated 6th-grade curriculum that weaves together faith, history, and language:
    • Theology: Faith and Life Series - Following Christ, helping students grow in their personal relationship with Christ.
    • History: Ancient Christian and Medieval History, bringing the stories of the early Church and the Middle Ages vividly to life.
    • English: Grammar, Writing, and Literature, developing strong communicators who think clearly and express themselves beautifully.

In addition, you will teach 7th Grade Grammar and Composition during the second semester, equipping students with the tools for precise, persuasive, and creative writing. This is a chance to mentor middle school students not only academically but also spiritually, modeling the virtues you teach in a supportive, faith-filled community.

We seek an educator who is:
    • Deeply Knowledgeable: An expert in theology, history, grammar, writing, and literature, able to teach with clarity, enthusiasm, and depth.
    • A Faithful Role Model: A practicing Catholic whose life reflects the faith and virtues you will impart to students.
    • Collaborative: Eager to work closely with colleagues to deliver a cohesive liberal arts curriculum.
    • An Effective Communicator: Committed to providing clear, timely feedback to students and parents on both academic progress and character development.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
    • Bachelor's degree in a humanities-related field (e.g., History, English, Literature, Theology).
    • Demonstrated expertise in the subjects listed above.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
    • Experience with classical or liberal arts pedagogy.
