An independent school for girls in grades 6-12, guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church and the spirituality of Opus Dei, Oakcrest School was founded in 1976 and is located in Vienna, Virginia, 17 miles west of Washington, D.C. Oakcrest School seeks a full-time, experienced teacher of Latin to join our professional learning community beginning August 2025. A successful candidate will have a strong background in Classics, an interest in using spoken Latin in the classroom, and the ability to teach a wide range of Latin classes. We seek teachers who are passionate about their subjects, committed to being involved in the life of the school as a mentor, club facilitator, or coach, and committed to collaboration and ongoing growth in their professional practice. Strong applicants will have an advanced degree, at least three years of classroom experience, and an appreciation for an independent school environment and an all-girls' education.
