The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas has an immediate opening for an Investigator The Investigator will utilize pertinent interviewing, surveillance, and desktop research abilities to fully investigate reported events in areas such as sexual abuse, financial impropriety, serious workplace misconduct, and canonical concerns.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Conduct investigations of alleged misconduct. • Interview witnesses. • Collect evidence. • Objectively analyze collected data or evidence and prepare documentation for appropriate action. • Work closely with legal counsel, human resources, promoter of justice, the Office for Prevention and Care, and the Archdiocesan Independent Review Board as needed.
Qualifications: • Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent of police, military or security investigative experience. • Extensive experience with conducting complex investigations and interviewing witnesses, ideally related to abuse/neglect, human services, law enforcement, or compliance required. • Certification or licensing is preferred. • Training in trauma-informed interviewing is preferred.
