Chesterton Academy - Queen of Martyrs, a joyfully Catholic, classical high school outside of Madison, WI, seeks a talented and dynamic full-time Math & Science teacher to join our team starting in the 2026-27 academic year. Part time options may also be available.
Required Qualifications - Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing, willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. - A commitment to foster the spiritual and intellectual formation of young men and women in a vibrant, faith-filled academic community. - Bachelor's degree in Math or Science-related fields. - Ability to teach 20+ classes/week through a combination of the following subjects: Mathematics: Euclid's 'Elements' (Analytical Geometry) (5x/week), Algebra I (5x/week), Algebra II (5x/week), Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry (5x/week) Science: Introductory Astronomy/Physics (4x/week), Biology (5x/week), Chemistry (5x/week) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications - Graduate degree and/or professional experience in math or science-related fields. - Prior teaching experience (especially in a Classical school environment).
Responsibilities In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty at Chesterton Academy participate in the House system, which is designed to promote character and virtue, and to help students grow in holiness. Faculty members are required to attend daily Mass with the entire student body, and assist in leading spiritual retreats and school activities.
Compensation Compensation is commensurate with education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible for a $6,000 annual healthcare stipend.
