The Facilities Manager (FM) for St. Rita Catholic Church and School is an integral part of the mission of the parish and school, both of which must be accessible, clean, safe, and organized in order to facilitate the handing on of the Gospel. The FM is responsible for working with the Pastor, the Principal, and other parish and school staff to identify, carry out, and/or coordinate maintenance, repair, and cleaning of the buildings and grounds of the parish and school in conjunction with the small maintenance staff who report to him.
The FM serves as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church, supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the parish, the school, and the Diocese of Arlington, maintains confidentiality regarding school matters, and supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the parish and school.
Description of Duties: - Collaborates with Pastor and Principal to prioritize repair and maintenance - Manages duties and schedules of maintenance team - Performs preventative maintenance on parish/school buildings, equipment, filters, and lighting, etc., in conjunction with outside contractors - Conducts minor repairs, to include plumbing, electrical, drywall, etc. - Coordinates with and schedules outside contractors for larger repairs and maintenance - Assists with school student drop-off and pickup - Ensures security of premises (locks and gates) - Assists with setup and cleanup of school assemblies and other school/parish functions - Maintains an organized workspace and an inventory of facility equipment - Conducts emergency clean ups and repairs as needed - Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits - Other duties as assigned
