Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry The Director of Youth and Young Adults leads and coordinates ministry for high school youth and young adults, fostering faith formation, discipleship, and community rooted in Catholic teaching. This role oversees the parish's Life Teen program, Confirmation preparation, and Rio Rancho Theology on Tap, while collaborating with parish staff to integrate youth and young adults into the life of the Church.
Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the Life Teen high school ministry, including weekly Life Nights, retreats, and service opportunities. • Create and facilitate continuous youth ministry opportunities and support throughout the week. • Oversee and teach the High School Confirmation program, ensuring formation is sacramentally and theologically sound. • Participate in EDGE Middle School program. • Organize retreats, conferences, and special events to promote spiritual growth and engagement. • Develop and lead Young Adult Ministry, including Rio Rancho Theology on Tap. • Recruit, train, and support volunteers, ensuring compliance with Archdiocesan Safe Environment policies. • Collaborate with parish staff, clergy, and families to strengthen evangelization and discipleship. • Manage program budgets, communications, and event logistics.
Qualifications • Practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church, with a strong commitment to youth and young adult ministry. • Bachelor's degree in theology, ministry, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Experience in parish youth/young adult ministry, catechesis, or pastoral leadership. • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and retreats as required.
