    Description

    Position Description: The Director of Parish Operations is a faithful Catholic responsible for leading Cathedral staff members in the fulfillment of the vision and mission of the Cathedral parish. This role oversees the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the parish, ensuring that staff, systems, and processes are aligned with parish values and goals. Key areas of responsibility include communications, facilities and maintenance, capital improvements, security, reception, and housekeeping. The Director works closely with the Director of Finance and Human Resources to support effective parish operations and enable the Pastor to focus on the spiritual needs of the parish.

    The Director collaborates with parish leadership to prioritize initiatives, manage cross-departmental projects, coordinate parish communications, support informed decision-making, and plan productive meetings. Additional responsibilities include supervising operations staff; overseeing the care and scheduling of parish facilities; coordinating logistics and administrative support for parish ministries and events; managing parish communications platforms; and allocating parish resources to support staff and parishioners in fulfilling the parish mission.

    Specific Responsibilities:
    • Lead staff members in fulfilling the vision and mission of the Cathedral parish.
    • Strategic Planning and Project Management:
    o Participate in long-term strategic planning efforts to align operational functions with the organization's vision and mission.
    o Oversee special projects and initiatives as assigned by the pastor, ensuring timely completion and alignment with parish goals.
    • Coordinate all activities occurring in parish facilities (staff, active disciples, and guests).
    • Serve as the primary contact for parish staff, active disciples, and guests when scheduling events, rooms, resources, or other logistical needs within the parish facilities.
    • Oversee ongoing development and maintenance of Parish CRM (Pushpay ChMS).
