    Description

    Summary: Saints Francis & Clare Parish is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled leader committed to sharing the joy of the Gospel with youth and young adults. This full-time position (at least 30 hours per week) is ideal for someone who desires to lead others into a deeper relationship with Christ and His Church through vibrant and relational youth and young adult ministries. In this developing role, the ideal candidate will build strong relationships with teens, young adults, and families while leading a core team of volunteers. Salary and benefits are commensurate with candidate's experience and education.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Plan and implement meetings, events, retreats, and service projects for youth in Grades 9 through 12.
    • Coordinate events, outreach, and fellowship opportunities for young adults.
    • Lead and develop a core team of volunteers.
    • Assist the Coordinator of Children's Faith Formation on Sunday mornings during catechesis and occasionally on Sunday evenings for Grades 6 through 8.
    • Oversee communication, promotion, and all program administration related to youth and young adult ministries.
    • Participate fully in the sacramental and parish life of the Church and collaborate with parish staff and ministries. (Involves a willingness to travel among 6 worship sites.)
    • Build relationships with youth and families through parish, school, and community involvement.
    • Develop an overall plan for vibrant youth and young adult ministries under the guidance of the Pastor in fulfilment of the parish vision statement and pastoral plan.
    Qualifications:
    • Practicing Catholic in good standing, fully able to participate in the sacraments and committed to evangelization.
    • Bachelor's degree in theology, catechetics, religious education, or related field preferred.
    • Experience in youth ministry, parish ministry, teaching, or discipleship preferred.
    • Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Strong understanding of adolescent development and Catholic faith formation.
    • Creative, dynamic, self-motivated, organized, and relational.
    • Successful completion of the Diocese of Pittsburgh Safe Environment requirements.

    Schedule: Flexible with necessary evenings and weekends
