    Position Summary: The Director of Mental Health Services will be a visionary and strategic leader responsible for the successful establishment, implementation, and oversight of CCEOK's new mental health services. This role requires a passionate individual committed to integrating excellent clinical care with the Catholic faith, managing a multi-phase project, building strong partnerships, and ensuring services are delivered with the highest quality and fidelity to the organization's mission. The Director will build and lead a dedicated team of clinicians and program staff, driving the expansion of services in our schools, parishes, and existing CCEOK programs.
    Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma is launching an ambitious new initiative to establish high-quality mental health services that promote hope, healing, and wholeness, integrated with the richness of Catholic faith and a Christian anthropological view of the whole person- mind, body, and spirit.
    Ministerial
    • As a ministerial representative of CCEOK, it is expected that both professional and social behavior be aligned with the ethical and moral standards of the Catholic Church
    • Pray daily for the needs of the poor; opportunities include personal prayer, daily Mass, and adoration
    • Willingness to learn how to articulate Catholic teaching with a commitment to its application in the job function
    • Execute duties in a Christ-like manner with love and compassion following the values and principles of the program, Catholic Charities and Catholic Social Teaching

    Program Leadership & Strategic Development:
    • Provide overall strategic direction and operational leadership for the development and implementation of this multi-phase mental health services initiative.
    • Develop, implement a comprehensive service delivery model and marketing/outreach strategy for school-based counseling, vicariate/parish-based counseling, and integration within existing CCEOK programs.
    • Oversee the establishment and growth of the Mental Health Ministry in parishes, including the training of Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructors and the coordination of MHFA trainings.
    • Collaborate with healing programs leadership to offer Rachel's Vineyard, Grief to Grace and Healing the Whole Person.
    • Oversee the promotion and coordination of spiritual direction appointments within designated vicariates.
    Quality Assurance and Outcomes Focused:
    • Ensure all clinical services are of the highest quality.
    • Establish and maintain clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure ethical and effective service delivery.
    • Oversee a dedicated and diverse team of licensed clinicians, licensure candidates, interns, and other program staff.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development for the clinical team.
    • Implement and manage a system of outcome measurements, including pre/post assessment tools and client surveys, reporting impact quarterly.
    Operations & Administration:
    • Oversee budget, operational planning, and establish efficient administrative processes (e.g., insurance billing.)
    • Implement private pay sliding scale and establish comprehensive insurance billing processes.
    • Manage partnerships and collaborations with Catholic schools, parishes, clergy, Catholic hospitals and other community agencies.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant licensing, regulatory, and ethical standards.
    Team Building & Collaboration:
    • Cultivate a collaborative and supportive environment for all mental health staff.
    • Serve as liaison between the mental health services and other CCEOK programs, diocesan offices, and external partners.
    • Represent CCEOK's mental health program at various meetings, parish visits, and community events.

    • Strong Communication: Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively articulate the program's vision, engage stakeholders, and build relationships with clergy, school leaders, and community partners.

    • Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Resourcefulness in addressing challenges and adapting strategies to meet evolving program needs and demands.
    • Empathy & Compassion: A genuine understanding and commitment to serving individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
    Qualifications:
    Required:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or Master's degree preferred.
    • 7+ years of proven experience in program development, implementation, and management, preferably within a non-profit or faith-based organization.
    • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the magisterial teachings of the Catholic Church and Catholic Social Teaching.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders, including clergy, school leaders, staff, and community partners.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    Preferred:
    • Experience working within the Catholic diocesan network.
    • Experience with insurance billing in a clinical setting.
    • Experience in community mental health outreach and ministry development.
    • Experience in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software.
    • Knowledge of evidence-based clinical treatment models and best practices.
