Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Advancement and working closely with school and volunteer leadership, the Assistant Director manages Villa's comprehensive annual giving program. This role oversees both unrestricted and donor-directed philanthropic initiatives while identifying and cultivating major gift prospects for the Always Villa Annual Fund and other institutional priorities. The Assistant Director also supports alumnae engagement efforts in collaboration with the Alumnae Association to achieve Villa's annual goals, events, and engagement initiatives locally and regionally.
The ideal candidate has annual fund or related fundraising experience and demonstrates energy, creativity, and strong collaborative skills.
Key Responsibilities: Design and implement strategies that enhance Always Villa Annual Fund revenue while engaging stakeholders across administrative staff, volunteer leadership, academic community, and student affairs (including athletics) Create and manage solicitation approaches for alumnae, parents, and friends through personal outreach, days of giving, direct mail campaigns, social media, and class agent programs Coordinate alumnae programming based on affinity groups, geographic clusters, and class affiliations Plan and coordinate cultivation and stewardship activities for annual giving constituents Organize and execute donor and alumnae events Manage fundraising event coordination, including Parents' Guild-sponsored events Develop programs that foster a culture of philanthropy among current students Manage young alumnae programs that promote continuing engagement beyond graduation Create pathways for future donor development Track and report Annual Fund progress with cost analyses and participation metrics Monitor annual participation rates across constituency groups Analyze data to inform strategic decisions and program improvements
Qualifications Include: Bachelor's degree required Minimum three years of successful, documented annual fund or development experience, preferably in educational settings Demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Villa Joseph Marie Proficiency with fundraising/constituent software (Raiser's Edge experience strongly preferred) Advanced database management and utilization skills Expertise in electronic and social media platforms for fundraising objectives Strong computer and analytical capabilities Working knowledge of educational fundraising principles, including direct mail, reunion giving, and donor relations Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders Detail-oriented with good organizational skills Commitment to the mission, programs, and future aspirations of Villa Joseph Marie High energy and creative problem-solving approach Results-oriented mindset with attention to detail
Compensation/Requirements: A competitive compensation package is provided based on experience and education. Must have the following clearances completed. All clearances will be reviewed prior to executing a contract.
