CONTROLLER Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana Lafayette, IN
We are seeking candidates for the position of Controller at our Chancery office in Lafayette, IN. The controller performs all the financial and accounting duties as needed for the efficient operation of the Central Administration of the diocese. Some of the essential functions of this position include performing general accounting duties necessary to produce financial statements for the finance council, the Lafayette Diocesan Foundation Board, and for the annual audit; producing statements of activity and general ledgers for each department and sub-department and send to the designated persons; doing an ad hoc financial analysis as directed by the CFO; and checking the integrity of the annual budget and uploading it to the general ledger. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred with extensive finance or accounting experience required. Non-profit accounting experience and work with Sage Intacct is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word is essential. Must maintain respect for and ability to uphold Catholic Church teaching.
