As Music Accompanist, you will report directly to the Music Ministry Coordinator.
Job Functions and Expectations: Planning and providing Music for Sunday 10AM Mass Scheduling and leading Choir rehearsals Scheduling and working with cantors, providing instruction on posture, etiquette, music leadership, and proper pronunciation of sacred text. Keeping current on changes and additions to sacred music and liturgy. Following all copyright laws in the use of music.
Requirements
1. Must have a high degree of proficiency in organ/piano/digital piano with good vocal skills. 3. Must have strong liturgical knowledge as evidenced by experience in liturgical music ministry &/or formal training credentials. 4. Must have a good knowledge of quality repertoire available for liturgical music programs. 5. Must have a working knowledge of compliance with music copyright laws. 6. Must be reliable. 7. Must pass background check, criminal check, and successfully complete Diocese of Charlotte employment requirements.
