Elementary Teacher Position:
Our ideal 4th Grade teacher will be a faith-filled and joyful individual who genuinely loves the students and their families. Our teacher will be an enthusiastic and creative individual who communicates effectively and enjoys collaborating with team teachers. Students look up to their teachers as role models, so the teacher must be a virtuous and faithful individual. Our ideal teacher will be versed in effective pedagogy to inspire students to love learning. Some of our students have special learning needs, so experience making accommodations for exceptional learners is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
-Inspire students to live joyful and faith-filled lives through effective instruction and modeling virtue. -Create unit and lesson plans for Grade Level classes. -Collaborate with Elementary Team Teachers, Art, Music, Physical Education, Tech and other Specials Teachers to align curriculum. -Provide feedback on student work, keep grading records, and respond to parent emails. -Maintain a clean, respectful, and orderly classroom, and follow classroom and school procedures as directed by the school. -Communicate in a friendly and positive manner toward parents and students and foster a culture of trust and collaboration -Serve as a role model of faith and virtue for SHCS students. -Keep records on attendance, accidents, and incidents. -Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. -Ensure the safety of students at all times.
Full-time availability at school, 7:15 am - 3:15 pm, Monday-Friday. Instructional time is 7:45 am - 2:45 pm
Teach 6 or 7 periods of Grade Level Curriculum per day (full school day is eight 45-minute periods)
190 working days per year (180 days of instruction) Paid holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring, and Summer breaks.
10 days of sick/personal leave in addition to aforementioned paid holidays.
Qualifications -At least a bachelor's degree (BA, BS, or higher) from an accredited college or university. -Valid teaching credentials preferred -Previous elementary school teaching experience preferred. -Ability to communicate comfortably (written and orally) with students, parents/guardians, administrators, and others -Ability to follow and enforce rules, policies, and procedures -Frequent walking, standing, stooping, and lifting of up to approximately 30 pounds may be required -Ability to pass a background check and pass all diocesan safe environment courses. -Be a role model and living example of the Catholic faith for the students in your classroom.

Pay: $35, 000.00 - $45,000.00 per year, commensurate with education and experience
