The Campus Minister is a full-time 12 month exempt position that reports to the principal and will work very closely with the co-chaplains as assigned by the Bishop on nearly all ministry events, activities and functions. The Campus Minister serves as a member of the school administration and serves as an advisor on all matters relating to the mission of the school including but not limited to athletics, activities, curriculum, personnel, and facilities. The Campus Minister should be an active and visible presence in the school building during the day and attend key events involving both students and benefactors. He or she should draw people together and from the faculty and staff build a robust core team of people to lead people to Jesus Christ through the ministry program.
The Campus Minister and his or her team will be responsible for planning and executing the following: All school liturgies and paraliturgical activities Overseeing the acolytes, extraordinary ministers, and choir All retreats including but not limited to: Four Class Retreats Faculty Retreat Kairos Steubenville Summer Youth Conference National Catholic Youth Conference Pennsylvania and National Marches for Life (September and January) Service related field trips like The Red Door, Pall Bearers Club, and other opportunities in the Greater Pittsburgh area Vocations Week Catholic Schools Week in conjunction with Student Government The service hour program for the entire school Virtue = Strength in conjunction with the Athletic Director Virtus Training and ARK testing for all grades All school prayers for announcements Faculty In-Service Formation Components Four Parent Formation Events (One per Quarter) BC OCIA Campus Ministry Lounge/Youth Ministry/Faith Formation Committee supervision and functionality Mission Trips (One Foreign, One Domestic) Welcome Back Picnic (All School) and Summer Send Off Picnic (Staff)
