We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Math Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students.
Responsibilities: - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in line with the NYS Curriculum Standards - Provide instruction in 7th & 8th Math and Algebra I Regents; 8th Homeroom - Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and academic growth - Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and other evaluation methods - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative educational experience - Utilize creative teaching methods to enhance student learning and comprehension - Provide individualized support to students who require extra assistance or enrichment -Effectively integrate technology
Requirements: - Be a Roman Catholic - Bachelor's degree in Education or related field - Teaching certification/license in the relevant subject area -preferred - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Experience in mentoring and tutoring students - Knowledge of special education practices and principles
