Our Lady of the Mount Church is seeking a temporary part-time cook to shop, prepare, and serve nutritious and healthy meals for our pastor, priest-in-residence, and guests, as well as clean up after all meals. Duties include meal planning, cooking, grocery shopping, and maintaining a clean kitchen. The rectory cook works directly for the pastor. Prior cooking experience and reliability required.
4 days/week, maximum of 20 hours/week, $20/hour
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and prepare meals four days per week • Create balanced, nutritious menus • Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences • Grocery shop and manage food inventory • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and food preparation areas • Occasionally prepare meals for parish meetings or small gatherings
Qualifications:
• Prior rectory cooking experience preferred but experience in catering or similar hospitality environments welcomed • Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently • Respect for the mission and values of the Catholic Church • Reliable transportation for grocery shopping • References required
Schedule & Compensation:
• Approximately 20 hours per week • Schedule: 4 days per week • Compensation: $20 per hour
