    Are you detail-oriented and looking for meaningful work?
    Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Parish in Wayzata is seeking an effective Bookkeeper (32-40 hours/week, in-office position with full benefits) to manage the day-to-day financial operations. You will handle accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and reconciliations, while also providing limited HR and administrative support. This role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with parish policies, and helps support the smooth operation of our vibrant parish community.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
    • Process payroll and employee expense reimbursements
    • Record and maintain financial transactions (accounts payable/receivable, invoices, deposits, payroll, etc.)
    • Reconcile credit card accounts monthly
    • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports as needed
    • Support preparation for annual audits and tax filings as needed
    • Assist with budgeting and financial reporting as needed
    • Occasionally prepare and issue invoices; follow up on outstanding payments
    • Support onboarding of new employees
    • Assist with management of employee contracts, incident reports, and pre-employment physicals (as assigned)
    • Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation
    • Other administrative duties as needed

    Qualifications
    • Degree in accounting/bookkeeping/finance or equivalent work experience
    • 2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new systems quickly
    • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to pass a background check and complete required training
    Compensation & Benefits
    • Pay range: $23-$26 per hour, commensurate with experience
