Position Summary The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of A Better Choice pregnancy resource center, and is entrusted with advancing its mission to support women and families facing unplanned pregnancies. This Executive Director is responsible for ensuring that all services, operations, and organizational decisions are faithfully rooted in the social doctrine of the Catholic Church- most especially those that protect human life of the unborn. Reporting to the Board Chairperson, the Executive Director provides strategic leadership, oversees daily operations, safeguards financial sustainability, and cultivates meaningful relationships with donors, staff, volunteers, and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities
Mission & Vision Champion the center's pro-life mission and Catholic values. Ensure all programs and services reflect compassion, dignity, and respect for life.
Leadership & Strategy Develop and implement strategic plans in collaboration with the Board. Lead and inspire staff and volunteers to achieve organizational goals. Inspires and models a Christlike servant leadership approach-leading with humility, meeting individuals in their circumstances, and responding with compassion, dignity, and grace.
Fundraising & Development Cultivate donor relationships and oversee fundraising campaigns. Identify and pursue grant opportunities and community partnerships.
Financial Management Prepare and manage annual budgets. Ensure compliance with financial policies and reporting standards.
Program Oversight Supervise client services including pregnancy testing, sonograms, 1:1 support, and referrals. Monitor the effectiveness of client services.
Staff & Volunteer Management Oversee recruitment and training of staff and volunteers. Annual staff and volunteer evaluations. Foster a mission-driven culture rooted in Catholic values, marked by respect, compassion, and collaboration.
Community Engagement Represent the center in public forums, churches, and media. Build strategic partnerships with local organizations and healthcare providers.
Board Relations Communicate monthly with the Board on progress, challenges, and strategic initiatives. Support board development and governance.
Compliance & Ethics Faithfully embodies and defends the moral teachings of the Catholic Church. Ensure adherence to Catholic legal, medical, and ethical standards. Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of integrity.
Qualifications Proven leadership experience in nonprofit or ministry settings. Strong alignment with pro-life values and Catholic doctrine. Demonstrated success in fundraising and donor relations. Experience managing budgets and financial operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead with empathy, vision, and accountability. Bachelor's degree and 5 years of non-profit leadership or business management required.

Benefits and Salary Salary base range $70,000-85,000 - bonus opportunities, benefits package and paid time off.
