Church of the Ascension in Overland Park, Kansas, a large suburban Catholic parish, is seeking a person to serve as the Pastoral Associate for Communications and Parish Life. The person to fill this position will be a key leader in the parish, serving on the Parish Leadership Team and working closely with the pastor. Additionally, this position supervises 2-3 other paid staff members and other volunteers. The skills needed for this role include a zeal for and knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, an ability to creatively craft engaging communications, manage websites and social media platforms, and oversee in-house communications systems, Customer Relations Management (CRM) software, and in-house video production. Salary is commensurate with similar positions in surrounding parishes.
