Iowa Catholic Radio Network, a ministry of St. Gabriel Communications, is seeking a mission- driven Program Director to lead programming strategy, on-air content, and audience growth across a network of 8 stations and digital platforms. This leadership role shapes the voice and direction of our network while ensuring all programming reflects Catholic teaching, FCC compliance, and professional broadcast standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Programming & Content Leadership • Develop and execute strategic programming plans • Manage daily broadcast schedules across all signals and streams • Select syndicated and local programming • Oversee development of new shows, podcasts, and special features • Ensure programming aligns with liturgical seasons and Catholic teaching
Team Leadership • Supervise on-air talent, producers, board operators, and volunteers • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations • Recruit and train programming personnel • Represent Iowa Catholic Radio at community, parish, and public events
Compliance & Broadcast Quality • Ensure compliance with FCC and non-commercial broadcasting rules • Maintain required documentation and logs • Review scripts, promotions, and show concept • Coordinate with engineering to maintain broadcast continuity Fundraising & Growth
Fundraising & Growth • Plan and execute semi-annual pledge drives • Support live fundraising broadcasts and campaigns • Analyze audience metrics and adjust programming strategy • Provide performance reports to leadership
Qualifications:
Required • Experience in radio, broadcasting, media production, or programming leadership • Strong leadership and organizational skills • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church • Knowledge of FCC broadcast regulations • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred • Experience in non-commercial or faith-based media • Pledge drive or fundraising broadcast experience • Audio production/editing skills • Familiarity with broadcast automation software • Strategic planning or audience growth background
