Seeking to foster the vibrancy of faith life at Saint Mary's College, the Priest Campus Minister provides accompaniment and responds to the sacramental, spiritual, and pastoral needs of the students of Saint Mary's College. An integral member of the Center for Faith, Action, and Ministry team, this position contributes to creating a culture of welcome, hospitality, and belonging across differences and promotes faith development in the context of Catholic and Holy Cross higher education.
The Priest Campus Minister provides for sacramental life on campus including the celebration of Sunday and daily Masses, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and other pastoral duties as needed for the student body of Saint Mary's College. The position is the celebrant for major liturgies on campus including the Mass of the Holy Spirit, Commencement Mass, and feast day Masses. The Priest Campus Minister provides accompaniment, pastoral care, and spiritual guidance to students on an ongoing basis and offers regular ministry of presence on campus and during retreats. In collaboration with the CFAM ministry team, this position thinks creatively about and supports outreach and evangelization efforts on campus, such as ministry pop ups, tabling events, and multifaith socials.
The position participates in ministry team meetings, supports student leader formation, and contributes to the collective work of the Center for Faith, Action and Ministry in an effort to further the mission of Saint Mary's as a Catholic and Holy Cross institution. The Priest Campus Minister participates in the Liturgy Commission and supports one additional ministry area, such as Latine ministry or missionary discipleship formation.

Minimum Qualifications
Ordained Roman Catholic Priest 2-3 years of experience in ministry with young adults, experience in higher education and/or campus ministry preferred Familiarity with the Holy Cross Charism Strong homilist and presider Experience in spiritual direction Computer skills including Google programs Schedule
20 hours/week, 10 months (August-May), including:
Sunday 7 pm Mass (2x/month), 1-2 daily Masses per week, weekly CFAM staff meetings (Wednesdays 12:30-2 pm) and bi-weekly ministry team meetings. Two additional priest chaplains share rotation for Sunday and weekday Masses.
This job will require evening and weekend hours as assigned.
