    Donor-Advised Fund Accountant

    Overview
    The Donor-Advised Fund Accountant provides accounting and operational support to Knights of Columbus Charitable Fund (KCCF) and it's related entities to help contniue the organization's mission of Inspiring Catholics and Empowering Catholic Organizations. This hands-on position is responsible for various accounting functions and operational processes associated with these entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and an understanding of nonprofit organizations.

    Core Responsibilities
    Accounting

    Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    Ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledger activity, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments for multiple entities.
    Assist with the preparation of audited financial statements and related Form 990s and coordinate with external auditors and accountants.
    Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures specific to donor-advised funds and other charitable strategies.
    Prepare reporting for the Board of Directors and various committees.
    Donor Advised Fund Administration

    Handle day-to-day financial transactions, including processing payments, reconciling accounts and managing cash flows.
    Manage individual DAF accounting, including tracking contributions, investment income, grant disbursements, accounts payable transactions and processing account level fees
    Work with the client success team to ensure timely and accurate grant distributions and fund reporting.
    Assist in implementing technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.
    Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and industry best practices related to donor-advised funds and other charitable strategies.
    Skills Qualifications
    Required:

    Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles.
    Experience in nonprofit accounting and donor-advised fund administration preferred.
    Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    Systems/Technical Knowledge:

    Exposure to large-scale enterprise, financial systems (e.g. SAP)
    Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    Education
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
    Minimum of 4-7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership roles.
    Compensation
    The wage range for this role takes into account a broad array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The range below applies as long as the work is performed in Connecticut; the Knights of Columbus reserves the right to adjust the wage range if the position is performed in another location. At the Knights of Columbus, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $69,600 - 115,000.

    Authorization to work in the United States is required.
    This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
