Holy Family High School is seeking a part-time highly experienced and competitive-level Head Cheer Coach to lead and elevate its established cheer program. Under the direct supervision of the Spirit Director, the Head Cheer Coach will oversee all aspects of the cheer program, building upon recent competitive success and advancing performance at the local, state, and national levels. This position requires a proven coach with demonstrated success in competitive high school, collegiate, or All-Star programs. The ideal candidate brings advanced technical expertise in stunting and tumbling, strong leadership ability, and a commitment to fostering a disciplined, unified, and faith-centered team culture aligned with Catholic values. This is a year-round commitment from April through March, requiring consistent leadership at practices, games, competitions, and program development initiatives. Responsibilities: Lead and manage all aspects of the cheer program year-round Coach and mentor athletes in stunting, tumbling, motion technique, showmanship and performance Prepare teams for local Colorado competitions and national-level competition, including UCA Nationals Build on the program's recent competitive success and continue elevating skill level and difficulty Establish structured and progressive skill development Ensure compliance with CHSAA Spirit guidelines, UCA, CA, and USA Cheer safety standards Maintain active USA Cheer membership and certification Collaborate closely with the Poms team to maintain a unified Spirit Program Support recruitment, retention, and overall growth of the program Model professionalism, accountability, and integrity at all times Promote and uphold the Catholic mission of Holy Family High School Facilitate faith formation opportunities, including team Mass participation Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and administration Attend all required practices, games, competitions, and program events Partner with the Spirit Director on fundraising initiatives and long-term program planning Ensure athlete safety through strict adherence to proper stunt progression and safety protocols Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years coaching experience in competitive cheerleading Demonstrated success coaching competitive teams at the high school, collegiate, or All-Star level Experience preparing teams for Colorado local competitions and national competitions, including UCA Strong technical knowledge of advanced stunting and tumbling progression Comprehensive understanding of CHSAA Spirit guidelines, UCA, and NCA rules Active USA Cheer Membership Certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date) Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to commit to a year-round coaching schedule (April-March) Commitment to fostering a Catholic, faith-centered team culture Preferred Qualifications: Experience coaching teams that have qualified for or placed at state or national competitions Experience within a Catholic school environment Collegiate or All-Star cheer experience CPR and First Aid Certification Apply at https://recruiting.paylocity.com/recruiting/jobs/Apply/3433738/Coach
