The position: All Souls Catholic Parish in Englewood, CO is seeking a full-time employee to be the Director of Youth Formation. This person will be responsible for the formation of youth campus-wide: in developing youth ministry, in coordinating sacrament prep, and in being a liaison for the students at our school. This role involves coordinating religious education programs, including sacrament preparation, OCIC, and parent formation, as well as leading youth ministry initiatives like Steubenville of the Rockies, Mountain Madness, Vacation Bible School, and Totus Tuus. The Director of Youth Formation will also be responsible for bringing service into our bigger parish and school community. This work involves setting up staff service days and being a resource for our ministries (especially the food bank and the St Vincent de Paul Society) as well as bringing service and mentorship into our youth programs. This position will also support other initiatives as directed by the pastor. This position reports directly to the pastor.
Responsibilities: Youth formation • Coordinates religious education (Including sacrament prep, OCIC, Parent formation) • Leads youth ministry • Coordinates a group for conferences and camps (Steubenville of the Rockies, Mountain Madness, Vacation Bible School, Totus Tuus, etc.) • Supporting school initiatives for youth formation (Little Flowers, Blaze/Ignite, Middle School Retreats) Service • Drives service initiatives campus-wide • Molds youth ministry to be service and mentorship oriented • Brings service events to religious education and all staff members • Coordinates community service events that lend to evangelization
Qualifications: • Faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church • Prayerful, open to the Holy Spirit • Can recognize and grow the gifts of the Holy Spirit in others • Willing to pray with others • Well catechized, can teach well • Able to form relationships with adults, teens, and children • Available on nights and weekends • Willing to spend time with the students at lunch/recess • Servant heart • Creative problem solving, willing to experiment • Passionate about evangelization and the mission of the parish
Not required but preferred: • Someone with talents to lead praise and worship is preferred • Experience with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is preferred
