Position Overview: Chelsea Academy invites applications for a full-time Second Grade Teacher for the upcoming academic year. The Second Grade Teacher will guide students in developing foundational skills across core subjects while nurturing their moral and spiritual growth.

About Our Second Grade Schedule: Our second-grade program follows a dynamic, well-balanced daily schedule designed to nurture academic growth and holistic development. The school day runs from 8:10 AM to 3:27 PM and includes:
Core Instruction: • Mornings are dedicated to deep dives into English/Language Arts and Mathematics, ensuring consistent growth in essential literacy and numeracy. • The curriculum is rounded out by Science and History, with weekly "specials" in Music, Art, Physical Education, and Handwriting. On Fridays, students expand their horizons with dedicated Geography lessons. • Daily Religion classes are the heartbeat of the schedule. Every Thursday, we welcome parent volunteers for "Read Aloud" sessions, and each week concludes with a "Fun Friday" period to celebrate student achievements. • A structured lunch and recess block (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM) provides vital time for students to recharge and build friendships through play.
Qualifications & Requirements: • A practicing Catholic in good standing with a deep commitment to the mission and identity of Chelsea Academy. • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field; teaching certification or equivalent experience in elementary education is preferred. • Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom with both charity and discipline, focusing on results while maintaining a focus on the "whole child." • A team player with strong communication and organizational skills, able to build meaningful relationships with students, parents, and staff. • A flexible, enthusiastic "servant leader" who finds joy in working with young learners and is willing to engage in the broader life of the school (activities, events, etc.). • A strong resonance with Chelsea's values and a desire to enforce school policies with empathy and grace.
