St. Andrew Catholic School in Saline, Michigan is a PreK through eighth grade school that opened in the 2023-24 school year. We are seeking teachers who are passionate about providing authentic faith formation for our students.
The school seeks a part-time art teacher to help lead students to wholeness in the image of Jesus Christ. Under the leadership and direction of the principal and under the care of the pastor of the parish, the key duties of the teacher will be:
Essential Functions • Responsible for Art related curriculum initiatives, programs, and projects. • Designs, develops, and delivers professional development, modeling, coaching, and support to schools on Art programs, projects, and initiatives. • Fosters partnerships in Art with our parish and surrounding community. • Supports increased student participation in advanced Art coursework by creating Art enrichment opportunities in all grades. • Plan, develop, and evaluate lessons for Art K-8. • Teach safe use of art tools and supplies. • Maintain and monitor student usage of Art room equipment. • Be aware of and monitor internet usage for students as outlined by Diocese policy. • To participate in a culture of faith and friendship centered on the love of Christ and the pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. • To partner with parents and colleagues in providing a nurturing Catholic environment focused on academic excellence. • To work with school leadership in professional development with the goal of improving in the craft of teaching.
