    Description

*FULLY REMOTE* *NON PROFIT BASED IN TEXAS BUT YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE*

    About Mighty Is Her Call
Mighty Is Her Call is a Catholic mothers’ ministry that encourages mothers by proclaiming the radically Christ-like nature of motherhood. We do this through:
    • Retreats in communities throughout the nation
    • Blog lifting up many voices of open-to-life Catholic mothers
    • Podcast exploring the vocation of motherhood
    • Ball in downtown Dallas
    • Pilgrimage for Mothers in Rome
    • On-demand audio retreats
    • Building a community of “Mothers helping mothers helping mothers”
    • Books, e-books and merchandise for Catholic mothers
Mighty Is Her Call elevates Catholic mothers by helping the Church and the world reimagine the vocation of motherhood as a sacred and worthy life-calling, powerfully united to Christ’s total gift of self.

    The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to help us grow our organic reach and
ensure that the women who need MIHC’s content can actually find it. This is a contract/retainer role, part-time and fully remote, with flexible hours. We are not looking for an agency — we want a dedicated individual who will come to know our mission, our audience, and our site.
Our WordPress site (Thrive Themes on SiteGround) has a solid technical foundation with active performance and SEO work already underway. You will be stepping into an engaged team, not starting from scratch.

    What You’ll Do
    SEO Strategy & Oversight
    • Develop and maintain a prioritized SEO roadmap aligned with MIHC’s ministry goals and content calendar
    • Conduct regular site audits and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations

    • Monitor and report on key metrics: organic traffic, keyword rankings, Core Web Vitals,
and click-through rates via Google Search Console and Google Analytics
    • Stay current on algorithm changes, AI-powered search (Google AI Overviews), and
    evolving best practices
    Technical SEO
    • Evaluate and guide improvements to site performance, crawlability, and indexability
    • Collaborate with our WordPress administrator and Thrive editor on technical fixes (you advise; we implement)
    • Review and provide guidance on site search infrastructure (currently evaluating
    Relevanssi)
    • Ensure proper structured data, meta descriptions, canonical tags, and redirect management
    Content SEO
    • Conduct keyword research informed by our audience: Catholic women seeking faith
    formation, community, and practical help
    • Provide on-page optimization guidance for blog posts, landing pages, retreat pages, and podcast episodes
    • Support development of topic clusters and content gap strategy aligned with our editorial voice
    • Coordinate with our email marketing efforts (Constant Contact) to reinforce content
    performance
    • Collaborate with our Social Media Manager to extend keyword and content strategy
across platforms — providing guidance on search-optimized titles, descriptions,
hashtags, and topic prioritization for Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
    Reporting & Communication
    • Provide a monthly summary report with plain-language insights and recommended next steps
    • Join a brief monthly check-in call with the Executive Director and relevant team members
    • Maintain clear documentation of changes, recommendations, and rationale

    What We’re Looking For
    Required
    • 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including both technical and content SEO
    • Demonstrated experience with WordPress SEO — this is non-negotiable; our site is built on WordPress with Thrive Themes
    • Proficiency with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and standard SEO tools
    (Ahrefs, Semrush, or equivalent)
    • Strong written communication skills; ability to explain technical recommendations to a
    non-developer team
    • Experience working with small teams or nonprofits in an independent work climate

    Strongly Preferred
    • Practicing Catholic with familiarity with Catholic women’s ministry, retreat culture, or faith formation content
    • Experience with SiteGround or similar managed WordPress hosting environments
    • Familiarity with Core Web Vitals optimization and PageSpeed Insights
    • Experience with Yoast SEO plugin, or similar
    • Prior work with nonprofit or faith-based organizations
    Nice to Have
    • Familiarity with Thrive Architect or Thrive Theme Builder
    • Experience with Constant Contact or similar email marketing platforms and their
    intersection with SEO
    • Understanding of podcast SEO and audio content discoverability

    Compensation
This is a part-time contract/retainer engagement. Compensation is commensurate with
experience and scope of work. We are open to discussing either a monthly retainer or an hourly arrangement. Our current needs are best suited to approximately 5–10 hours per month, with potential to grow.
We are a nonprofit operating on a Google Workspace for Nonprofits plan. We are transparent about our budget constraints and deeply value specialists who are mission-aligned and prefer meaningful work to high-volume agency relationships.

    Application Instructions

    How to Apply
Please send the following [email protected] with the subject line “SEO
    Specialist — [Your Name]”:
    • A brief introduction (2–3 paragraphs): who you are, why MIHC’s mission resonates with you, and what you’d bring to this role
    • 2–3 examples of SEO work you’ve done for WordPress sites, with context and results
    where possible
    • Your preferred engagement structure (retainer vs. hourly) and general rate
    • Optional: a brief observation about mightyishercall.com — something you noticed that
    you’d want to address

Candidates who include that optional observation will receive priority consideration. It tells us more about how you think than a résumé alone.
