Part-Time Music Teacher (Grades K-8) - Catholic School We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Music Teacher to join our Catholic school community, serving students in grades K-8. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about music, enjoys working with children of varying ages, and values collaboration within a faith-based environment.
Responsibilities: Teach general music classes to students in grades K-8 Introduce basic keyboarding skills and foundational music concepts Expose students to a variety of musical genres and instruments, including percussion (drums) Foster creativity, participation, and appreciation for music Prepare and direct students for school assemblies and performances, including the Christmas show Collaborate with faculty and staff as a supportive team member Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment
Qualifications: Experience teaching music to elementary and/or middle school students Proficiency in keyboard/piano and familiarity with basic percussion instruments Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to plan lessons that are engaging and age-appropriate Willingness to support the mission and values of a Catholic school Degree in Music Education or related field preferred
Schedule: Part-time position (hours/days to be determined) possibility of full-time
