St. Malachy Parish has a part-time job opportunity for a Music Director.
Essential Responsibilities: • Coordinate the music for weekend Masses (5:00 PM Saturday, 8:00 &10:30 AM Sunday) and holy days, in collaboration with Parish volunteers • Coordinate, plan, and execute music for funerals, weddings and other special events • Leads the practice sessions • Collaborates with the Pastor
Qualifications: • Professing, practicing, and knowledgeable of the Catholic Faith, or otherwise supportive of Catholic beliefs and practices • Experience, background and knowledge of liturgical celebrations and planning • Degree in music education, or music performance or related field • Able to communicate effectively with volunteers • Capability to organize, plan and execute events
Compensation: • Benefits include: vacation and PTO • Pay: $16-$18 per hour
