Chesterton Academy of Vero Beach invites applications for a full-time teacher position at our classical high school, grounded in the Catholic tradition. Located in the beautiful town of Vero Beach, Florida, our school integrates rigorous academics with the joy and depth of the Catholic faith. We are looking for a humanities teacher who has an interest in teaching at least two of the following three subjects:
History Theology Philosophy
Responsibilities: - Teach some combination of History, Theology, or Philosophy across three grade levels (Curriculum and lessons plans are provided) - Participate actively in the daily academic and spiritual life of the school, including attending daily Mass with the headmaster, fellow teachers, and students - Be an active part of the Chesterton house system - Consider engaging students in extracurricular activities - Foster a community that reflects our Catholic values
Requirements:
- Must be a practicing Catholic, willing to make a public profession of faith, and take an oath of fidelity to the Magisterium - Strong written and verbal communication skills - A passion for teaching and a willingness to teach in a classical manner - A strong dedication to building a culture of life through education - Have at least a bachelor's degree or higher, OR a minimum of three years teaching experience in public or private schools, OR possess special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualifies you to instruct in subjects taught
