Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience); generous benefits package

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Finance Director to oversee the organization's accounting operations and financial reporting functions.
This is a highly visible leadership role that partners closely with executive leadership and the Board. The position exercises independent judgment, ensures strong internal controls, and supports the organization's long-term financial health.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in nonprofit financial management.
Experience with Sage Intacct is required.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and general ledger management
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Review and approve payroll processing and reconciliations
• Perform and review cash and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance
• Perform/Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Audit & Compliance
• Lead annual audit preparation and serve as primary liaison to external auditors
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit reporting requirements
• Complete state filings
• Support grant compliance tracking and reporting
Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
• Develop and monitor annual budgets
• Prepare budget-to-actual analyses and financial forecasts
• Identify trends and provide recommendations to leadership
• Present financial reports to executive leadership and Board members
Payroll/HR
• Manage bi-weekly payroll and benefits administration
Strategic & Leadership Support
• Provide financial insight to department leaders
• Support long-term financial planning initiatives
• Escalate significant financial risks or concerns appropriately
• Partner with leadership to improve financial systems and efficiencies
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred but not required)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting/financial management experience
• Strong nonprofit accounting experience required
• Experience managing audits and financial reporting for nonprofit entities
• Advanced proficiency in Sage Intacct required
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Experience with Bill.com, ADP/Paychex, or similar platforms preferred
• Experience with CRM/Donor database (i.e., DonorPerfect) preferred
